2020 Pink Patch Project
Beginning October 1st, you may see our officers wearing our distinctive pink Winters Police Department patches around town!
The “Pink Patch Project” is an effort by law enforcement nationwide to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research (https://pinkpatchproject.com/). The Pink Patch Project was started by Irwindale Police Department in 2015 and the Winters Police Department has participated since October 2017.
Our pink patches are available to the public for $10.00 each and, this year, Winters PD will also be offering “Pink Patch Project” t-shirts! The t-shirts are $20.00 each and quantities are limited. The patches and t-shirts may be purchased at the Police Department, Monday-Friday, 8am-430pm.
All proceeds of our efforts go to the UC Davis Clinical Breast Cancer Program at the UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center and Winters PD has raised nearly $3,500 since we started participating.
If you are sporting your Pink Patch Project t-shirt or showing off your pink Winters PD patch, share your picture on social media and tag us or send your pictures to firstname.lastname@example.org to help spread the word!
