**CalFire Cold Fire Update 08/04**
Evacuation Orders: Evacuation orders have been lifted for Golden Bear Estates. Canyon Creek Campground are still closed.
Acres Burned/ Containment: 4,700 acres/ 15% contained
Conditions: The fire continued to burn actively throughout the night. Containment has been improved along the southeast side of the fire resulting in re-population of the Golden Bear Estates. Cooler weather is forecasted today, however, erratic winds are possible this afternoon.

Evacuation orders are in place for Canyon Creek and Golden Bear Estates. Road closures for Highway 128 at Pleasants Valley Road as well as Highway 128 and Markley Cove are in place.

Despite favorable weather conditions overnight, the fire continues to spread in grass and oak woodlands with extremely limited and difficult access for firefighters. During the course of the day the fire has predominately grown in a northerly direction. Aircraft and ground resources will concentrate on the north end of the fire while working to hold fire lines along and off of the Hwy 128 corridor.

For Evacuees requiring long term shelter, the City of Winters has negotiated rates at two Davis hotels: Hallmark Inn UC Davis and University Park Inn & Suites. If any evacuees need assistance with clothing, hygiene products or animal feed, the First In Relief organization has contacted the Police Department to offer their services. Animal Evacuation information can be found by calling Yolo County Animal Services at (530)666-8282, a facebook group (Solano County Horse/Livestock Fire Evacuation Help Page) has also been sent up to assist animal owners.

**Information as of 8/2**
On August 2, 2016 around 4:30 pm, the Winters Police Department was advised of a vegetation fire along Highway 128 near Putah Creek and Monticello Dam. A second fire is also burning along County Road 87 and 34.
Our partners at the Winters Fire Department have been dispatched to assess the fires. At the time of the initial call, smoke from the Monticello Dam fire could be seen from as far away as Canyon Creek Resort.
Our partners at the California Highway Patrol have issued an evacuation order for Canyon Creek Resort and Golden Bear Estates. Highway 128 is closed at Pleasants Valley Road.
