Title: INJURY TRAFFIC COLLISION
On 2/13/2017 at approximately 6:30 PM, Winters Police Department, Winters Fire Department, and AMR ambulance personnel were dispatched to a vehicle versus pedestrian collision at the intersection of Main St. and Railroad Ave.
Officers contacted two elderly Vacaville residents at the scene who stated they had been stuck by a black SUV while crossing the street in the crosswalk. Both subjects were transported by AMR to Vaca Valley Hospital and treated for minor injuries.
The SUV, a 1999 Lincoln Navigator, had stopped nearby and the driver, Roberto Ceja Reyes, a 55-year-old Winters resident, was contacted and cooperative with officers. Reyes stated he had come to a stop at the intersection, which is controlled by a 4-way stop, and then proceeded but did not see the pedestrians until the collision.
Reyes was found to be driving on a suspended driver’s license and was cited and released at the scene.
