WINTERS POLICE DEPARTMENT PRESS RELEASES 6/23/10 10:00 pm – On the 100 block of Broadview Lane, fifty plastic, pink flamingos being used for a fundraiser were stolen from a front yard of a residence. Loss - $400. 6/30/10 1:00 pm – On the 300 block of Railroad Avenue, a skate board was stolen. Loss - $50. 7/12/10 Unk. – On the 100 block of East Grant Avenue, spray paint was used to write graffiti on a building and shed. Damage - $1,025. 7/19~20/10 8:30 pm~6:30 am – On the 900 block of Taylor Street, a fire extinguisher was stolen from a truck. Loss - $50. 7/20/10 9:23 am – On the 400 block of Niemann Street, a utility trailer was towed for violation of Winters Municipal Code 10.16.050 – Use of streets for storage of vehicles prohibited. 7/21/10 5:00 pm – On the 500 block of Railroad Avenue, a milkshake was thrown onto a protest display table. 6:21 pm – Jenna Christine Mayes, 23, of Winters was arrested for inflicting corporal injury on an ex-boyfriend/cohabitant. Mayes was booked at Winters Police Department and transported to Yolo County Jail for incarceration. 7:00 pm – On the 100 block of East Baker Street, cohabitants, with a child in common, were in a verbal altercation that turned physical with the suspect slapping the victim in the face. The case is being forwarded to the District Attorney for a complaint. 7:03 pm – On the 200 block of Toyon Lane, a protected person was contacted by a third party for the restrained party of a restraining order. 7/22/10 5:31 pm – A 17-year-old Vacaville juvenile was arrested for shoplifting and being a minor in possession of spray paint. Juvenile was booked at Winters Police Department and released to a parent on a notice to appear. 9:20 pm – Dale Anthony Hinnen, 47, of Sacramento was issued a notice to appear for possessing less than an ounce of marijuana. 10:33 pm – On the 400 block of Anderson Avenue, a rock was used to break a classroom window. Damage - $400. 7/24/10 3:30 am – Christopher Allen Poteat, 22, of Winters was arrested for trespassing. Poteat was booked at Winters Police Department and released on a notice to appear. 3:30 am – Paul Joseph Breshears, 21, of Winters was arrested for trespassing. Breshears was booked at Winters Police Department and released on a notice to appear. 3:30 am – Wiley Garrett Reed, 19, of Winters was arrested for trespassing. Reed was booked at Winters Police Department and released on a notice to appear. 8:55 pm – Gabriel David Wolter, 19, of Davis was arrested for burglary. Wolter was booked at Winters Police Department and transported to Yolo County Jail for incarceration. 7/25/10 12:46 am – Daniel Samuel Duarte, 32, of Vacaville was issued a notice to appear for driving with a suspended/revoked driver’s license. Duarte was also arrested on an outstanding Solano County Sheriff bench warrant charging him with failure to appear on previous charges of driving with a suspended/revoked driver’s license, possessing less than an ounce of marijuana and failing to provide proof of insurance. Duarte was booked at Winters Police Department and released on a notice to appear. 2:51 pm – Evangeline Ruth Matthews, 41, of Winters was arrested for two counts of inflicting injury upon a child and two counts of willful cruelty to a child. Matthews was booked at Winters Police Department and transported to Yolo County Jail for incarceration. 10:02 pm – On the 800 block of Grant Avenue, parties were involved in a verbal domestic dispute. 10:45 pm – William Carl Gardner, 27, of Winters was issued a notice to appear for driving with a suspended/revoked driver’s license and having inoperable vehicle tail lights. 11:29 pm – Phillip John Sisco, 19, of Winters was arrested for possessing an illegal knife (butterfly knife). Sisco was booked at Winters Police Department and released on a notice to appear. 7/26/10 1:00 am – On the 100 block of Russell Street, a vehicle was towed for violation of Winters Municipal Code 10.16.050 – Use of streets for storage of vehicles prohibited. 1:04 am – On the 100 block of East Grant Avenue, a front door window of a business was broken. Damage - $500. 2:09 am – On the first block of Main Street, a front window of a business was broken. Damage - $20. 7/2~3/10 5:30~3:15 pm – On the 100 block of Colby Lane, a car stereo was stolen from an unlocked vehicle. Loss - $700. 7/2~6/10 5:00 pm~8:00 am – On the 100 block of East Grant Avenue, a lock on a storage shed door was cut. Damage - $50. 7/6/10 4:45 pm – At I-505 and State Route 128, an Officer assisted Yolo County Sheriff’s Department with call of suspicious circumstances until the Deputy arrived on scene to handle the incident. 11:42 pm – Austin James Cliché, 21, of Winters was issued a notice to appear for being an unlicensed driver and failing to provide proof of insurance. 7/7/10 9:18 am - On the 300 block of Hillview Lane, an Officer responded to an audible alarm. The residence was found secure. 10:35 pm – Pablo Vargas Cisneros, 23, of Winters was issued a notice to appear for being an unlicensed driver. 7/8/10 3:49 am – On the first block of Grant Avenue, an Officer responded to an audible alarm. The business was found secure. 9:00~10:40 pm – At Cody and Main Streets, a rock was thrown at a vehicle side window causing it to break. Damage - $500. 10:30 pm – On the first block of Main Street, a bicycle was stolen from in front of a business. Loss - $100. 7/9/10 7:23 am – On the 600 block of Snapdragon Court, an Officer responded to an audible alarm. It was determined the alarm was activated accidentally. 10:20 am – From an unknown date to July 9, 2010, victim’s identity was stolen and used to manipulate credit. 11:33 am – On the 200 block of Toyon Lane, suspect allegedly violated a restraining order by attempting to contact victim. 7:37 pm – On the 400 block of Niemann Street, an Officer located an open door to the High School Agriculture Site. The building was cleared and the door secured. 10:00~10:30 pm – On the 100 block of East Grant Avenue, a bottled of vodka was stolen from a local business. Loss - $17. 7/10/10 9:58 am – On State Route 128 west of Pardesha Store, two Officers assisted California Highway Patrol with a motorcycle accident. 7/11/10 12:19 am – A 14-year-old Winters juvenile was arrested for possessing a dangerous weapon (billy club) and being intoxicated in public and unable to care of his safety or the safety of others. The juvenile was booked at Winters Police Department and released to a guardian on a notice to appear. 7/12/10 8:31 am – On Betty Court, a vehicle was towed from the City Street for having expired vehicle registration in excess of six months. 6/23/10 Unk. – On the 400 block of Anderson Avenue, a bicycle was stolen from the front porch of a residence. Loss - $100. 12:16 am – Alejandro Pena, 18, of Winters was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, being under the age of 21 with a blood alcohol content of .05% or more while driving a vehicle, driving over solid yellow lines, and possessing an illegal knife. Pena was booked at Winters Police Department and released to a sober adult on a notice to appear. 6/27~28/20 4:00 pm~9:00 am – On the 100 block of Grant Avenue, the door to a storage shed was kicked open, hedge clippers and sprinklers were stolen and spray painted was used to write graffiti on the shed. Loss and damage - $370. 6/28/10 5:45 pm – On the first block of Main Street, parties were involved in a verbal domestic dispute. 6/29/10 12:26 am – On the 100 block of East Grant Avenue, an Officer responded to an audible alarm. The business was found secure. 6/29~30/10 5:00 pm~7:15 am – On the 100 block of Grant Avenue, a window at the High School band room was broken. The room was entered and ransacked. Damage - $300. 5:00 pm~8:30 am – On the 500 block of Main Street, spray paint was used to write graffiti on a fence. Amount of damage is unknown. 5:00 pm! 9:30 am – On the 500 block of Niemann Street, forcible entry was gained to a shed. The shed was entered and ransacked. Damage - $200. 6/30/10 5:30 pm – Sean Kenneth Snow, 26, of Granada was arrested for taking a motorcycle without the owner’s consent. Snow was booked at Winters Police Department and transported to Yolo County Jail for incarceration. 7:58 pm – Jose Sanchez, 18, of Winters was issued a notice to appear for being an unlicensed driver and failing to provide proof of insurance. 6/30~7/1/10 5:00 pm~6:36 am – On the 100 block of Grant Avenue, a window of the High School lunch room was broken. Damage - $300. 7/1/10 2:24 am – William Bradley Blake, 49, of Winters was arrested for inflicting corporal injury on his spouse. Blake was booked at Winters Police Department and transported to Yolo County Jail for incarceration. 7/2~3/10 2:00 pm~9:45 am – On the 200 block of Railroad Avenue, a rock was thrown through a window of the Community Center causing it to break. Damage - $500. 7/2~5/10 4:00 pm~9:40 am – On the 500 block of Edwards Street, a brick was thrown through a classroom window causing it to break. Damage - $250. 7/3/10 3:54 am – A 17-year-old Winters juvenile was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol content of over .08%, being under the age of 21 with a blood alcohol content of .05% or more while driving a vehicle, and failing to have the required vehicle red tail lamp. The juvenile was booked at Winters Police Department and released to a parent on a notice to appear. 9:20 pm – On the 800 block of Jackson Street, an Officer responded to an audible alarm. It was determined the alarm was activated accidentally. 7/3~5/10 1:30 am~12:20 pm – On the 1000 block of Kennedy Drive, a vehicle was vandalized by breaking off the door handles with an unknown object. Damage - $200. 7/4/10 3:02 am – Antonio Gonzalez Ramirez, 36, of Winters was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol content of over .08% and failing to stop at a limit line. Ramirez was booked at Winters Police Department and transported to Yolo County Jail for incarceration. 10:51 am – On the 1000 block of Adams Lane, an Officer responded to an audible alarm. The residence was found secure. 4:59 pm – Felipe Gutierrez-Gutierrez, 43, of Winters was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol content of over .08%, being an unlicensed driver and having an open container of an alcoholic beverage inside a vehicle while driving. Gutierrez-Gutierrez was booked at Winters Police Department and released to a sober adult on a notice to appear. 7/5/10 12:50 am – On the first block of Anderson Avenue, parties were involved in a verbal domestic dispute. 4:22 pm – On the 100 block of Main Street, an Officer responded to an audible alarm. It was determined the alarm was activated accidentally. 7:30 – pm – On the 400 block of Cottage Circle, a dog was stolen from the backyard of a residence. Loss - $1,000. 7/6/10 12:47 am – Alberto Rangel Ortiz, 27, of Winters was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol content of over .08% and being an unlicensed driver. Ortiz was booked at Winters Police Department and released to a sober adult on a notice to appear. 6/19/10 3:00 am – On the 1000 block of Taft Court, a revolver and hunting bag containing a fishing pole, pocket knife, binoculars and coyote calls were stolen from the back of a pickup. Loss - $750. 6/21~22/10 4:00 pm~8:00 am – On the 100 block of Grant Avenue, four classroom windows were broken at the High School. Damage - $750. 6/22/10 7:00 am – On the 700 block of Lupine Way, victim’s ATM card number was used to make unauthorized purchases. Loss - $2,022. 11:57 am – At Grant Avenue and Second Street, an Officer assisted a Yolo County Sheriff Deputy with an investigative vehicle stop. 4:50 pm – Johnny Alan Lucero, 20, of Winters was booked and released on a District Attorney letter charging him with having unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor who is more than three years younger than him. 6/22~28/10 6:00 pm~9:35 am – Spray paint was used to write graffiti on a garage located in the alley on the 300 block of Abbey Street. Damage - $200. 6/23/10 6:18 pm – Regina Serrie Romero, 36, of Winters was issued a notice to appear for driving with a suspended/revoked driver’s license and having unlawful tinted vehicle windows. 11:37 pm – At I-505 and Putah Creek Road, an Officer assisted a Vacaville Police Officer with a traffic stop. 6/24/10 6:31 pm – On the 700 block of Dutton Street, an Officer responded to an audible alarm. The business was found secure. 9:59 pm – On the 300 block of Rosa Avenue, parties were involved in a verbal domestic dispute. 6/25/10 11:25 pm – On the 100 block of Main Street, an Officer responded to an audible alarm. The business was found secure. 6/26/10 9:41 pm – On the 200 block of Rosa Avenue, parties were involved in a verbal domestic dispute. 9:46 pm – Manuel Gutierrez SantaCruz, 18, of Winters was arrested for obstructing/resisting an executive officer, resisting arrest, battery, being intoxicated in public and unable to care for his safety or the safety of others, and violating probation. SantaCruz was booked at Winters Police Department and transported to Yolo County Jail for incarceration. 6/26/10 11:33 pm – Christian Noe Delatorre, 18, of Dixon was issued a notice to appear for driving with a suspended/revoked driver’s license and having unlawful tinted vehicle windows. |
