  5. Conditions & Terms of Permit

    1. This permit is valid only on those days which are not prohibited by the state air resources board pursuant to Health and Safety Code section 39298. On any day burning is to be done, the fire control authority must be notified that a burn is to take place.
    2. TO DETERMINE A BURN DAY AND NOTIFY THE FIRE CONTROL AUTHORITY, APPLICANTS MUST CONTACT FIRE DISPATCH AT 530-666-8920 EACH DAY THEY WISH TO BURN.
    3. Burns shall take place between the hours of 9am to 3pm only and shall be attended by at least one (1) able bodied adult at all times.
    4. This permit is only valid on land owned or legally controlled by the permittee and shall be available for inspection at the burn site.
    5. The waste shall be arranged to facilitate efficient burning and shall be free of other waste such as tires, rubbish, tar paper, or construction debris. Burn areas must be appropriate distances from other flammable substances, objects, and structures.
    6. This permit may be revoked for violation of any conditions of said permit or when necessary for public safety. 
    7. Any person who violates the provisions of the rules and regulations is guilty of a misdemeanor and is punishable by imprisonment in the County Jail not exceeding six (6) months or by fine not exceeding five hundred dollars ($500.00), or both, and the cost of putting the fire out.
